How many people does an entrée serve?
Each full sized entrée serves 4-6 people, and our half sized order will server 2-3 people depending on each person's appetite. Portion sizes are based on the Canada Food Guide recommendations.
How can I make smaller portions of my entrées since I don't have a big family?
The benefits of Dinner Revolution are great for any size family, empty nesters, seniors, executive couples and singles. For a smaller family use our half sized entrée option, and for larger families use the full sized option. Mix and match these options to suit your family best. Please note, entrees can not be "split" into smaller portions.
What do I bring?
Bring a cooler or basket (laundry baskets work great) to transport your meals home. We supply the freezer containers required for each entrée.
What is the cost?
Since we have added the ability to choose 6 or 12 meals, as well as full or half sized entrées cost will depend on the options that you choose. Full size entrees range from: $22.50 to $30.00 and half size entrees range from $12.50- $15.00. The price per serving is approximately $4 - $5! Meal assembly is available for an additional $25 fee.
How much room do I need in my freezer?
Since most of our meals are stored in freezer bags or foil containers, they stack well. 2 cubic feet of freezer space for 12 entrees should be sufficient! Unlike store bought freezer meals in bulky cardboard boxes, we use minimum packaging that can all be recycled.
How do I register?
Please register following these simple steps:
• Create Your Account
• From the Calendar/Sessions page choose the date that is convenient for you to assemble or pick up your meals.
• View and select your entrées. Unless a limit is specified, feel free to choose multiple orders of your favorite entrées.
• After you have selected your entrées, proceed to the secure checkout where you can pay for your order with MasterCard or Visa.
• Mark your calendar with your Dinner Revolution date. Be sure to bring a cooler with cooler pack to safely transport your meals home.
• Get ready to have some fun and enjoy the luxury of your Dinner Revolution entrées.
Can I have a private party?
Yes! Dinner Revolution parties are great for wedding showers, baby showers, a night out with friends, office parties and corporate events. What a better way to do your month of meals while enjoying time with friends! Email or call us at (780)461-4002 to make arrangements. Party size should be a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 12.
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand, situations arise which may require you to cancel or reschedule your session reservation. Since we purchase groceries just for you we require a minimum of 72 hours notice of your cancellation. If you are unable to attend your session, we can assemble your entrees for you for a nominal fee.
How many meals do I choose?
A minimum of 6 entrees are required for a Dinner Revolution Session. Feel free to order as many or as few of each entrée provided there is not a limitation stated. Additional entrées (over 6) can be ordered as well.
How do I cook my meals?
As you complete each meal, you will attach a label that not only helps you to identify each of your entrées, but gives you instructions on how to prepare your meal. Where applicable, a variety of cooking methods will be suggested in addition to serving suggestions to round out your meal.
How long does it take to assemble my 12 entrées?
It takes approximately 2 hours to create 12 entrées. If it is your first time to Dinner Revolution we suggest coming about 10 minutes early so we can show you around.
Do you supply everything for a complete meal?
A variety of our meals are "all in one entrées" other meals we supply the main component. All of our entrées come with serving suggestions to assist you with balancing your diet, meal planning and grocery needs.
Do you deliver?
Currently we are not offering this service. Please advise us if this service would benefit your lifestyle.
What if I don't want to assemble my own meals?
No problem, for a nominal fee we can assemble your meals for you and arrange a convenient pick up time.
Can I bring a helper?
Certainly! We do ask that all "helpers" are above the age of 13. What a great way to spend some time with a child, spouse or friend!
How will this save me time?
You save time because we do all the chopping, shopping and preparation and clean up for you. You will save time shopping by needing to make fewer trips to the store. Since your entrées are already assembled you will have less dishes to clean after your meal. Overall you are saving 14-20 hours a month!
Can I modify or customize the recipe?
Absolutely! This is one of the many benefits of Dinner Revolution. Instead of purchasing a ready made frozen entrée you can modify the recipe according to your tastes, likes and dislikes. For example if you like your food spicy, add more spice. If you don't like onions, just omit the onions! Only our meat, fish, poultry and cheese are portion controlled.
How do I use my Dinner Revolution entrées?
To use your Dinner Revolution entrées to your advantage, on Sunday review your weekly schedule and choose 3 meals that you would like to eat for the week. Place these entrées in the refrigerator. This will safely thaw your entrées. Cook each entrée according the labeled instructions. It's that simple.
What if I can't cook?
No problem. We provide you with simple and easy to follow assembly instructions at each entrée station. Each entrée comes with cooking instructions including a variety of methods when available.
What if I forget to thaw my meals before dinner?
